ReAMS is a centralized repository where all State departments can upload, store and retrieve their digitized documents through the portal. State Government departments can catalog their collections/digitized documents or can add their already cataloged collections to the project database, enabling their collections to be accessible to the public and department users on the ReAMS. Department of Law is a part of Ministry of Law & Justice as per the Allocation of Business Rules of Government of Rajasthan. It is one of the oldest Departments of Govt. of Rajasthan. The Law Department performs multifarious functions which are related to legal, administrative and the dispensation of administration of justice in the State. The Department of Registration and Stamps is responsible for the registration of transactions of various kinds, most important of which are transactions of properties. In all, 34 kinds of deeds and transactions come under the purview of the Department. The limits of the taxes to be levied on the transactions are determined by the State Government, which are revised from time to time. The Department is an important contributor to the gross income of the State Government. The Department of Registration and Stamps is situated in Ajmer, and is headed by the Inspector General - Registration and Stamps, an officer of the Indian Administrative Services.
This language academy works for the proliferation of rajasthani literature. This academy regularly publish it’s rajasthani magazine “Jagti-Jot” from last 5 decades. Academy also have it’s own publication division in which more than 60 book’s of various aspects of rajasthani literature are published. Rajasthan State Archives enjoys a special position amongst the various Archives of the country primarily on account of the indigenous character of its holdings. The present State Archive is a successive body of the various General Record Offices and similar record agencies of the former states of Rajasthan. The State Archives was set-up as early as 1955 having branch offices in all the former covenanting States of Rajasthan including the one in the former Chief Commissioner’s province of Ajmer-Merwara. In the following years as matter of administrative convenience, it was decided that the Archives Department should take care of only of pre 1900.
A.D. records known as Deposited records; while the semi-current records should remain under the administrative control of the State Secretariat, but this department took the stand that it would amount to an un-natural bifurcation of the record series because a change of nomenclature, an increasing state activity or the creation of some new departments, or some having been amalgamated into other for administrative convenience, did not make out a case for this bifurcation of records.
